FOXNews.com - Politics - Textbook Publishers Define Marriage to Appease Texas Board: "The State Board of Education approved health textbooks for Texas (search) high school and middle school students on Friday, after publishers changed the wording in some of the approved textbooks to reflect marriage as being between a man and a woman. "
While CB does not approve of judging anyone on the basis of how they have sex, or whether or not they have it, local schools should be able to pick textbooks that reflect the community in which they teach. Isn't it easier to have the publisher change a bit of wording than to have a major uproar in the middle of the school year when parents get a hold of the book with the possibly divisive language. Trying to save the kids from that may not be such a bad thing.
