Sharon May See Possibility for Peaceful Future

Jerusalem Post | Breaking News from Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish World: "'I intend to continue with disengagement, and if over time we see that there is a Palestinian leadership that acts against terror, perhaps then we can coordinate a transfer of the territory to them,' Sharon said. "

Isn't Sharon showing himself to be the better man with this strategy? He could reasonably say, out of fear or opportunity, that all concessionary actions will cease until new leadership is selected. In fact, I think most of us would have understood, and maybe even approved. Instead, he is saying that it is in the world's collective best interest to march on toward peace and an eventual Palestinian state. This should be bigger news, shouldn't it?
