We should keep our eye on this. Shuttlesworth is an icon of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference which is very closely tied to the NAACP. To edge someone like him out must mean that there is some real discontent in the ranks. I am not suggesting the end of civil rights groups or anything, but this is a big story that is not getting any attention.
